The Klas OOD Svilengrad has focused on the production of grain, wine-growing and peeling sunflower. In 2014 was built a modern grain base, which is located in the village Chernodab near to Svilengrad. The base was built by European standards and has capacity for 10,000 tons of grain, which is stored in silos. Company cultivates 4,000 acres of seed as hard wheat (Italian variety), wheat and barley. The company was established in the production of grapes and small limited quantities of wine, and has over 1,000 acres of vineyards, some varieties are – Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Syrah, Mavrud, Karaminer, Muscat Ottonel.
